Fleet Week 2010

As I sit in my office, I suddenly hear the roar of jet planes zooming overhead. The sound lingers as it slowly diminishes into the distance, when ZOOM, there is it again. This can only mean one thing, the Blue Angels are here!

It’s that time of year again when San Francisco gears up to pay tribute to our men and women in the armed forces.  Beginning on Thursday, Oct.7, look to the skies to spot the Blue Angels flying or scan the horizon for the incoming military ship parade. The weekend will be bustling with activity, as thousands of people fight for the greatest viewing spots of the spectacle taking place on and over the Bay. Events and activities are available all along the Embarcadero, with the most popular destination being PIER 39. There you can listen to live bands, take a Bay Cruise, race the Blue Angels aboard RocketBoat and even attend a meet & greet with the Blue Angels themselves! Visit http://www.pier39.com/Events/index.htm for a full listing of events

If you are looking for a way to beat the crowds and watch the Blue Angels fly with unobstructed views from the best seats on the Bay, come aboard Blue & Gold Fleet’s Fleet Week Cruise on Sunday, Oct. 10. Visit us at www.blueandgoldfleet.com.
